Mexican Drug Cartels

I've been following the Mexican Drug Cartel issue and I think the body count is 55-60,000 depending on the source. I know some of you live in states close to the border so I was wondering how long do you think before this becomes a big problem in the US? Or is it already?

My daughter's friend relocated to AZ and she says the cartels are on the local news every night reporting beheadings and the gruesome violence resulting from the cartel violence..

And I was reading an article entitled What the FBI Wants to Hide From You In Their 2011 Gang Threat Assessment,

but what I found even more interesting was the one response. Of course I have no idea who authored this comment...it could be anyone, but it's so specific that I found it somewhat credible. I suspect the CIA since the top brass doesn't seem to care.

Orleans, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, San Diego,
Memphis, Atlanta, Cleveland, and Baltimore. the big rise now is
the influx of Muslims from the Middle East. due to Pentagon
directives to get more arabic and farsi speakers, recruiters are
being told there is a policy of see no evil hear no evil on these
recruits. Both CIA and FBI have been directed to look the other
ways on these recruitments. Considering the fact one of the
members of the first attempt on the WTC in 1993 was an egyptian
tarined by our special forces this seens to be a big national
security issue, especially after what happened at FT Hood. no one
at the top seems to care."

Whoever posted that info in response to the gang assessment white paper was government and, to me, the whole idea of that comment was to throw suspicion on all things Muslim, which is the same crap pinned to Arabs/Muslims who did not perpetrate 9-11.

You can never get too far in blogs without someone dropping in and making you remember that you shouldn't forget that those godless bastards, the middle eastern Muslims, are our worst nightmare.

Our government is our worst nightmare.

For over 200 years, we’ve known how to protect our borders. Suddenly, in the 80s, we got dumb. Gee, how do we stop the brown invasion? INS and the Border Patrol were corralled to allow this injection of immigrants. All this happens just as another extended round of job outsourcing and business closings occur.

In addition to these destructive and diametrically opposed events, we allow in immigrants from nations considered to be in the axis of evil. How fucking bright is that?

We’re safer here because we fighting over there? Really?

I don’t think so, especially when I have to hear, watch and read every day of another potential domestic terror event that could be perpetrated by those bad people who shouldn’t be here but over there where we’re fighting them to make us safer over here.
It’s like trying to make your home safer by going down the block to fight the bad guys who, when you leave to go look for them, come in your front door and wreck the place. You want to protect your home? Tighten it up and keep the assholes out. Somehow our government didn’t get that memo.

The Mad Hatter’s tea party made more sense than The State’s bullshit propaganda.

But, wait, there’s more. . .

Gang activity will increase exponentially because, in times of prolonged deprivation (into which we are well on our way), gangs, to include previously non-reactionary whites, who have become as bereft as minorities, will proliferate and start preying on the haves and the elderly.

And you can believe the shit is going to hit the fan in the warm weather states, which also happen to be home to large aggregations of Latinos and blacks, who, traditionally don’t like each other very much. Sorry to say, but it’s just as true to call it what it is, that the Great White Hope is that the Burritos and Da Bruthas cancel each other out before they come looking for us honkies.

And I ain’t making a joke. That’s life in the street and those who live there know it.

on wabc ny, 770am, at 9pm eastern is this roundtable talk show. you get economy, elections, china and a huge heaping of muslim extremism.
huge, like everyday there is something on syria,yemen, on and on. i think these sick sobs running this country are going for the whole ball of wax in the middle east. the crusades all over again. you never hear of the cartel/mexican issue because the latino vote is going to be very big very soon and the pols as usual, are playing to that tune.

You're right! I thought that Muslim mention was odd but gov propaganda didn't cross my mind, when it usually does.

I read an article recently, entitled "Remote Sensing" from Jan 1969 issue of National Geographic. I was surprised to discover how advanced the technology was at the time, especially the reconnaissance development. The article even admitted that secrecy shrouds the most advanced techniques.

Using that 1969 technology alone, the US could take care of the cartels in less than a week ...Imagine what they could do today if they so desired.

Nope..the big terrorist elephant in the room is, no doubt, the US...

And yes, I'm sure the gang activity will explode with the help of the cartels, I'm sure. They're setting the stage for it now...trying to ratchet up racial tensions, and/or any kind of tensions they can think of.
