I've been following the Mexican Drug Cartel issue and I think the body count is 55-60,000 depending on the source. I know some of you live in states close to the border so I was wondering how long do you think before this becomes a big problem in the US? Or is it already?
My daughter's friend relocated to AZ and she says the cartels are on the local news every night reporting beheadings and the gruesome violence resulting from the cartel violence..
And I was reading an article entitled What the FBI Wants to Hide From You In Their 2011 Gang Threat Assessment,
publicintelligence.net/what-the-fbi-wants-to-hide-from-you-in-their-2011-gang-threat-assessment/
but what I found even more interesting was the one response. Of course I have no idea who authored this comment...it could be anyone, but it's so specific that I found it somewhat credible. I suspect the CIA since the top brass doesn't seem to care.

"we have a much bigger problem here than just criminal activity.
the security clearance alone gives our enemies access to vital
info that can be used to attack the continental united states.
many of these people are employed around our nuclear weapons
stores and armories. the us marines last year could not account
for the whereabouts of more than 6,000 m-16s and more than 3
million rounds of 223 ammo for these weapons. the army actually
had an m-1 tank stolen from a ft hood depot. the tank was caught by atf agents in a warehouse in downtown el paso. no word on how it was transported. the air force reports losses of weapons, gas masks, training manuals, emergency supplies. worst of all may
have been the us navy which apparently almost had a nuclear
warhead stolen by gang members said to be members of iran’s
guards brigade. marines seem to be the worst, followed by the
army as many municpalities have agreements to halt criminal
proceedings if the military takes these people in. worst
locations for this activity found in Los Angeles, Chicago, New
Orleans, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, San Diego,
Memphis, Atlanta, Cleveland, and Baltimore. the big rise now is
the influx of Muslims from the Middle East. due to Pentagon
directives to get more arabic and farsi speakers, recruiters are
being told there is a policy of see no evil hear no evil on these
recruits. Both CIA and FBI have been directed to look the other
ways on these recruitments. Considering the fact one of the
members of the first attempt on the WTC in 1993 was an egyptian
tarined by our special forces this seens to be a big national
security issue, especially after what happened at FT Hood. no one
at the top seems to care."
